Sleep Paralysis

This term we had the dreading topic of Speeches, and i'm pretty sure most students hate speeches. But we all go through this nerve-racking day when we stand in front of or class, and speak about a random topic we decided to dedicate our speech on. I choose Sleep Paralysis. Why?, Because I thought it was pretty interesting and something different. We went through with researching our topic, and sorting our categories into paragraphs. My favorite part for doing the speeches was probably researching about it because it was quite interesting with the different stories i found out about it. I reckon I could have been more clear or detailed with my speech.

Dogs Vs. Food!

For this terms Inquiry we did a Science Experiment. Nya and I's were based on “What is a dog’s favourite food?” and we had some surprising results! We first learned what each of the scientific method meant, ex. Purpose, Discussion, and Hypothesis . Then we went with choosing our Questions, which we base our whole inquiry off. After that we had to write our Hypothesis, Purpose, Method, Ingredients and Variables. Once we had finished that we did our actual experiment and recorded down the results. Then we wrote our discussion, conclusion and made our results. Then we got to make our science board which was a lot of fun! If i had to do this experiment again I would’ve collected more dogs to have a wider option, and maybe repeated the experiment once or twice. Otherwise I was completely happy with it! If you did a science experiment what would you do? And Why?

Creative Explanation! (The Boy In The Striped Pajamas)

Here is a storyboard of the of "The Boy In The Striped Pajamas",  My literacy group and I wanted to display a different way of how Bruno's Journey of how he ended up to shumel! I would've added more cells (The different scenes.) to give more of a visual showcase so you would understand it better but i couldn't do any more. We used" Storyboard That" if you were interested on making your own story board! Have you read "The Boy In The Striped Pajamas"? 

The Chaos Of War Poems!

For literacy we had to write poems based on war, why? Well we had to because we were reading the boy in the striped pajama's which is based on the years of the concentration camps with the jew's. We wrote four types of poems, Haiku, Cinquain, Tanka and Ballad and we had to display it some how and i choose to do a poster!

Last Term For Literacy, We did information reports. 

We all based it on an African Animal because of our Lion King Production.

We had the options to do a Poster, Doc, Slide and Adobe Slide. I choose the poster because i thought it would be creative and fun to make. I chose vibrant colors to make the words and pictures stand out. I had the elephant because i was new after everyone started to make there report. So i borrowed my friends information and put it in my own words and she had the elephant. I enjoyed making the poster and putting together and designing a layout. It was great fun!
